Spent Lily #2, January 21, 2013

It is seriously Minnesotan around here. Much as I would love to get out and shoot some winter, it is just too cold for me. Perhaps later. Right now, I am diving into these waning flowers. So many possibilities! Such good light (…a clear indication it is below freezing in good ‘ole Minne).

Show Info: Debora Miller’s installation I’m Not Me, She’s Over There, and its companion outdoor piece Horizon Grid (viewable 24/7), is up until February 22nd at Susan Hensel Gallery. Open Mondays 10-5, and by generous appointments.

Post 351: Eager Eye

Getting closer to that 366 Days in a Row goal I set myself nearly a year ago. Not sure where this blog will go after the 31st of January, but I have a distinct feeling that I will continue it somehow. For now, count up to 366. It is gonna be a fun couple weeks!

It was satisfying to shoot today, after spending time away from that eye-frame while mounting the show:

Learning Curve: 5

So, since I got an iPhone in June, I have sometimes used it to do my posts, including using the camera- editing in a simple limited tool I tripped across. Just yesterday, I looked again at free apps for photo editing and happened upon Photoshop Express. It is very simple, but allows a lot more control.

I played around with this image from my trip to New York, a photograph of a display showing historic subway tile. I think it is sweet, a little funny, and quietly satisfying.
