Halfway to my goal of 366 daily posts! I find my mind turning toward work on the exhibit titled I’m Not Me, She’s Over There that I will be mounting in January 2013 at Susan Hensel Gallery in Minneapolis (mark your calendars – more details to come!). These months will be interesting as I delve into that, and maintain my daily sharing of process, ideas and new images. Thanks for following along.

This marks my 10th post on the blog. So far, it is proving to be pretty energizing and interesting for me. The challenge I am finding when writing about my own practice is that I am quite used to expressing my artistic process in very confident and complete terms. Most of my writing as been for applications for grants or entry into shows – writing that of necessity contains Certainty. It is a different exercise altogether to share the fleeting perhaps nascent impressions or factors that go into my art making.
This article in The New York Times about projection art is a pretty stunning and interesting. We have some of that action going on right here in Minne, too. I will be starting a series of posts soon about my projection art, but for now, here is a taster:
